Flood risk perception and evacuation maps
in Paris, France metropolitan area
These maps show flood risk perceptions and evacuation behavior vary across the Paris metropolitan area in France at county, municipal, tract and 200 meter grid levels.
The maps are based on estimates derived from a dedicated 2018 large survey (n = 2,976) following a quota sampling with three stratified spatial categories (county, municipality, exposure) and three social categories (age, gender, education) across all flood exposure levels (none, indirect, direct). Geographical data is based on the INSEE 2018 delineations,
municipalities,
tracts,
200m grid .
The estimates are derived from a statistical model using multilevel regression with post-stratification (MRP) along with demographic and geographic population characteristics.
